Waterproof Make-Up

Today I went swimming, and I have a few products that claim to be waterproof, so I tested them! This is the makeup I wore today.

The eyeshadow from Catrice, which is called 090 Bring Me Frosted Cake is not waterproof, but I just wore this to brighten up my eyes for a limited time. The other products you see are: Maybelline New York 24H Super Stay Foundation in 010 Ivory, Waterproof Eyeliner bought at the HEMA and the Colossal Volum'Express in waterproof .

This eye shadow makes my eyes so much brighter compared to when i wear nothing on my face. I use this everyday as a base to make my other eye shadows brighter. As you can see it's a really pretty color and it stays on all day.

I was really exited about this eyeliner at first, it's really intense black and I can create beautiful make-up looks with this. Only down side I found before swimming is the tip is not convenient and sometimes it created a really thick line while I want a thin one.

This foundation isn't officially waterproof, but every morning when I apply foundation, I put it on my hand first and when I try to wash it off my hand with water, it stays on. So I decided to wear it too.

Last but not least the Colossal Waterproof Mascara. I'm in love with this mascara and I have no objections what so ever. It's just such a good brush and it makes me lashes really long and thick.

So here is a picture of my make-up before swimming:

It's really simple but enough when I go swimming, I just need to put on make-up, otherwise I look extremely exhausted and ill.
So here is the picture after swimming. I did not go fully under the water but I did get a few splashes of water in my face and on my eyes.

So as you can see it's definitely the eyeliner that didn't stay on. And for that I'm really dissapointed.  As for the mascara, my lashes did stick together a bit but they're still 100% black and it didn't fade for a bit. The foundation did fade a bit but again, it's not a waterproof foundation so it's not a surprise. I didn't touch my eyes at all so it's  not from touching or what so ever. It just faded like that.

So I hope you guys liked this blog and until next time!

Yogi Flow Sunrise

Rituals opened a new store in the town where I live, so I thought "Why not check it out?".  And they had a huge sale going on. Their Foaming Shower Gel was only € 4,90 while the normal price is € 7,90. So I bought Yogi Flow which smells like Sweet Almond Oil and and Indian Rose and I also bought Sunrise and it smells like Sweet Orange and Cedar.

The funny thing about this Shower Gel is that it's a gel when you put it on your body, but when it comes in contact with water, it becomes a foam. It's really interesting to see. I personally like Sunrise more because of the smell but I use Yogi Flow more because I don't want Sunrise to go empty. I am not sure how long their sale will continue but If it's still going on when I'm back from holidays I'm sure I will buy another one! I took a few pictures to show you how the gel transforms into a foam.

It's already a bit of foam on this picture, because I think my hand was a bit damp. But here's what it looks like without adding extra water. Then here is a picture when I added a few drops of water.

And then all there is to it is rubbing it and mixing it with the water you added.

I'm so addicted to this shower gel, and I hope you guys understand why. It's so much fun to see it transform. While washing your body you instantly feel refreshed and you can really smell the scent. So here are some more pics I took.

So I hope this blog was entertaining and get the shower gels while they are still cheap! You can also order them online at http://www.ritualsshop.nl/ or if you don't live in the Netherlands www.rituals.com  Goodbye you guys!

Wrapping Up

On Friday the 15th of July, it was my mothers birthday. To celebrate her birthday, I bought her a few presents, and for the first time in my life,  I wrapped them up really pretty. I'm sorry if this blog doesn't interest you, but I promise, next one will be really awesome, especially if you live in Holland, so stay tuned! So here's what I bought:

I recently discovered that my mom NEVER puts body lotion on her legs after having a shower. I was SO shocked, because this is the perfect time to put on anything that nourishes your body. That's because when you shower with hot water, your pores open and anything you put on your body afterwards get's absorbed more than when you put it on when you , for example,  just woke up.  So I bought this oil-creme for my mom. Also, my mom loves hand cremes so I thought "why not buy her a better one".

Also, my mom always complains about how her make-up doesn't stay on all day. So I bought this wonderful eye shadow palette from Maybelline New York for her. I actually wanted to buy it for myself a long time ago, but I never knew how the colors looked on my skin. So I secretly did a little swap to see how they looked and I'm totally in love, so I might buy this one myself too.

I also bought this really pretty nude nail polish. I really love this collection. It's from Catrice Cosmetics and is available in a store called the Kruidvat. It's no fancy expensive brand, but they have a really large collection of cosmetics, and I really adore their eye shadows (new idea for a blogpost, perhaps?). This color is called "030 My Café Au Lait At Nôtre-Dame". Not sure how it looks on her yet, but I hope she'll like it!

I also bought my mom some wine gums and a relaxing eye mask. But that's not really interesting to show you so let's move on to the Wrapping Up!

These are all the red wrapped presents.

And the pink wrapped presents. I wrapped the presents myself, and i'm super proud so here are some close-ups! I hope you liked this blog and until next time!

Heat Rush

Today I bought new perfume. I'm always a fan of perfumes that stay on quite long, with a refreshing scent.
I tried out this perfume a while ago when I went shopping but decided not to buy it because it was too expensive, but today I found a smaller bottle, so a cheaper price!
The perfume I bought is called Heat Rush by Beyoncé.

The packaging is really nice, and the colors are so vibrant. This bottle is 15ml costs €14,99. The larger bottle I saw at first was €26,00. But like I said, it was too expensive because I only like a scent for a few weeks, so that's why I prefer to buy the smaller bottles. I also like all the detail they put in the packaging, such as a logo, and the of Beyoncé you find everywhere.

Now some more details about the product. Well the following is what it says on the package: Vaporisateur - natural spray.
Never heard of it before but it kinda makes sense when you feel the spray. It feels different,  it's not focused on just one spot, it sprays on a bigger field. Which for me, is perfect. On the official website of the Beyoncé perfumes, www.beyonceparfums.com , they say "Beyoncé Heat Rush is a floral fragrance that softly lures like a gentle breeze" and for me, that's enough.

But there is more, on the website they also say "Beyoncé Heat Rush is a fruity floral fragrance that softly lures like a gentle breeze. Warm yourself with a drop of liquid sunshine: feminine Yellow Tiger Orchid, juicy sparkling Brazilian Cherry and sensual Rio Sunset Musk."

About the smell. Heat Rush smells like Brazillian Cherry, Passion Fruit Sorbet and Blood Orange. Doesn't that just sounds amazing? But it doesn't stop there. Because it also smells like Yellow Tiger Orchid, Mango Blossoms and Orange Hibiscus. But it doesn't stop there, because it also claims to smell like Rio Sunset Musk, Honey Amber and Teak Wood.
Well knowing this about a product is really amazing. It almost makes me hungry!

I hope you guys find this review entertaining. And remember, I may like this smell, but nobody has the same nose, so you may not like this. So please remember to smell perfume before you buy it, because perfumes can be expensive so make sure you really like it.

Thanks for reading and talk to you next time!

Delicate Jasmine

A few days ago, I bought myself my first body scrub.
I got curious after my sister bought a delicious smelling body scrub from Sabon.
I went to the shop and smelled all the scrubs they had.
I had two favorites  but because they were 20,- euros, I had to make a decision.
So I chose Delicate Jasmine.

It has a rough texture, which I like. Also the smell stays on for quite a while so I automatically feel really refreshed after using this. They also gave me a little scoop for 1,95 (not sure about the price but between 1 and 2 euros) and they wrapped it really pretty with a nice brown/orange bow.

Like I said before, it has a rough texture. This makes sure all the dirt and dead skin goes away, and leaves new skin which feels soft. It is important to scrub at least once every two weeks, to get rid of the things I said above. Don't scrub more than once a week, because it normally takes a few days for your skin to recover. For example, if you scrub every day, you won't have dead skin to remove and your basically damaging your new, reborn skin.

Here some information about the product, I got this from Sabon's official american website: www.sabonnyc.com

"This classic scrub is designed to make your skin gleam no matter how dry or damaged it may be. Used bi-weekly, the body scrub gets rid of dead skin and reveals the fresh layer of skin cells beneath. Using deep sea salt coated in macadamia, almond, and soya bean oils, the body scrub allows for the gentle and smooth removal of dead skin. When the dead skin is removed, newer healthier skin appears in its stead giving you a silkier, more youthful looking complexion. The inclusion of macadamia as an ingredient is what separates Sabon body scrubs from the rest. Macadamia oil contains palmitoleic acid which also occurs naturally in human skin. When you apply it to your body, this acid makes your skin healthier and is among the reasons why Sabon's is the best body scrub product on the market. No matter what your age or skin color, Delicate Jasmine Body Scrub will give your skin a beaming glow with a pleasing scent."

I hope you guys find this review helpful. Also, you can purchase products from Sabon online!
Just check the website I put above the quote. Do notice, that the scrub in America is purple, the one i bought in Holland is light blue, don't get confused, it's the same scrub! If you live in Holland, check www.sabon.nl and enjoy!

Introduction

Hello my dear first readers,

First of all, I would like to say this blog will be in English, so for my Dutch friends who are reading this, I'm sorry.
But I think I can express myself more in English, so I made this decision.

Second of all, English is not my first language, and I am not fluent, so you might noticed some mistakes every once in a while and I apologize for that.

Moving one, let me tell you a bit about myself.

My name is Kim but online I'd like to be called Inyoung.
I've been listening to kpop (Korean Pop Music) since I was 12 years old.
I dedicated my life to Korean Culture, not just music.
I'm not your typical kpop fan girl. My love for Korea goes WAY beyond music.

I'm a graphic design student, currently in my 1st year (had to do my 1st year again, though.)
The reason why I chose this is because I'm interested in photography and I'd like to learn more about graphical design because I think it will be a good thing do know when I have a job later.

I got interested in makeup when I was 12, I tried out different things and haven't stop experimenting with colors, eyeliner and lipstick. Now I have 2 jobs, I can finally pay a little bit extra for beauty supplies. I have so many reviews but no one to share them with, so I decided to make a beauty blog and tell you guys about the things I bought, the make-up I wear and just other random beauty related things.

I do not want to make this introduction the longest blog post ever,  but if you feel like I haven't told you enough, feel free to ask me. This also goes for recommendations or advice!

I hope you will have a great day and that you will like my blog.

Goodbye!
