FOTD: Purple Paradise

Today I'm going to show you my FOTD: Face of the Day make-up. But first let me tell you what I like about make-p. Without make-up, I look really tired and ill. With make-up, I look awake, energized and prettier! I always wear eyeliner and mascara, and keep my eyeshadows calm. But sometimes I like to use color, so here is my make-up with a bit of purple.

Make-up used for the face:

Foundation:     Sephora hydrating & smoothing foundation in shade R20
Powder:          Collistar loose powder
Lips:               Catrice Colour Infusion Longlasting Lipstain in shade 040 Don't call me Princess
Lipbalm:          Baviphat peach lipbalm
Blush:              Catrice 300 Pink Rock Super Star eyeshadow in combination with
                       Maybelline New York's blush called 53 Sweetheart Rose and
                       Catrice Defining Duo Blush in 020 Peach Sorbet.

Shoplog 2011/09/23

Last friday I went to Rotterdam with Amy again because there was a huge sale at the Sephora. Buy 3 products for just 10 euros! Of course we just had to go there. so now I'm going to show you what I bought.

First of all, a very weird picture Amy's boyfriend took of us. Our faces look very flat, very weird. But I still wanted to share this with you, haha! We wanted to take more pictures for this shoplog but in the end we forgot. So Amy bought 3 products, and I bought 6.

So these were the things I bought. 3 eyeshadows, a foundation and 2 jumbo pencils.

These colors are really pretty and contain a lot of glitter.

Golden Girl N*50 = Gold.

Carine N*26= soft pink

Tango Night N*35= purple

Gold, Soft Pink, Purple. I was a little bit dissapointed about  the purple because it looked a bit more pigmented in the package. But it's still a really pretty color.

Next I bought 2 jumbo pencils in black and brown. They're waterproof and claim to stay on till 12hrs.

They're really easy to apply and they leave a really amazing pigmented color.

As you can see here, it's definitively really pigmented.

As I told above, I also bought a foundation. But I'm going to do a separate review on that one, so please wait for that! My total at Sephora was : 54,50 euros but since there was a sale I bought everything for only 20 euros! Do you live in Holland and want to get the same deal? Go to the V&D because this is the last week!

Smells fresh!

Today i'm not going to write about make-up or anything like that. I'm going to talk about something I bought a little while ago at the place where I work. But my English lacks today so I'm going  to show you a picture!

Have you ever seen something like this? I seriously don't know what this is called in English, but it's basically a candle but you can't light it. Weird, right? Well, I made some pictures to show you how this thing is melting and leaving a very nice cinnamon scent. 

First you gotta buy something where you can put the unlighted candle on top, and a normal candle in it. Like this. I bought mine at the Ranzijn (only in Holland) but you can also buy these at the Xenos (where I work now.)

After some time, you see it's actually melting and instead of a "candle" it turns into oil.

You can clearly see the difference now. FYI: My room smelled AMAZING.

I already blew my candle out, but at this point you can see the oil is starting to boil. Now you can just let this dry into the "candle" again. The Xenos sells 5 different scents: Vanilla/ Raspberry/ Cinnamon/ Lavender and I do have another one but I can't really guess the smell atm. So I'm going to edit that when I figured it out.

Modifast 3.2.2

Hey guys!

I started my diet yesterday, and I really wanted to tell you guys about it.

The diet I'm following is from Modifast and it's the Protiplus 3.2.2 diet.
I have to eat exactly what they want me to eat for 3 weeks in a row. And then I would lose around 6kg.

So I've been struggeling with my weight since I was around 12. I've always been a "bigger" girl but every year I would gain weight instead of losing it. Being overweight is very hard because you won't fit into the nice clothing you want to buy. I do have to say i'm not really fat or really big. But my weight is too high. So I would like to weight around 30kg less. Now I can hear you think. 30 KG?! Yes, and the reason for that is that i'm too heavy, and if I lose 30kg I would have an ideal weight. Now I would be happy if those 6kg from my diet will be gone but still I would love to have perfect weight for once in my life. This will be a very long journey and the Modifast diet is going to set the base for the upcoming 3 weeks.

So this is the main things I'm going to eat. The left is a Milkshake and tastes like Cappucino ( I really don't like this one, haha. They also have a chocolate version, and I think I'm going to buy that next week.) and at the right is a vanilla pudding (they also have a chocolate version)

So I eat the pudding twice a day and the milkshake once a day.

These coconut filled chocolate cookies need to be eaten around 10am (when my school break is) and 3pm (when my other break is). I just have to eat one and drink a lot of water throughout the day.

I havn't tried these drinks yet, they're supposed to be taken around thursday/friday, instead of 1 chocolate cookie, I have to drink 2 of these.

So this is what my weekly schedule looks like (week 1):

Morning: 

* Pudding
* Yoghurt

Break (10am):
* 1 chocolate cookie

Lunch:
* Salad or a different recipe i can find on their web-site.
* Milkshake
* Yoghurt

Break (3pm):
* 1 chocolate cookie

Dinner:
* A recipe from their web-site.

I am not allowed to eat an evening snack what so ever. But for me it is possible to wait with the milkshake or the pudding and eat it in the evening. The first day for me was really hard. Not really when I was eating during the day. But when I came home from school. I had a terrible headache and I was feeling a little sick. I wasn't really hungry and since I go to bed at 9.30pm almost every day, I didn't really need an evening snack. But I was so emotional all of a sudden, perhaps because I'm realizing I'm going to lose weight, finally. After all my hard work and not losing weight, after all those years being called at, people telling me I'm ugly, I found my way into this diet and I sincerely hope it's going to help me.

So this was my first blogpost about my diet, you can expect a lot more for the coming 3 weeks. I'm also going to tell you the prices and more information about the food. If you're not interested then just don't read the next one, just wait for my posts about make-up.

Etos Color Shine Lipstick

Hello!

I recently started to buy lip products, I've already had some lip gloss in my "stash" but gloss isn't really my thing. So I checked out what Etos had in store for me. Etos is local drugstore and pretty popular in Holland. They also have their own brand cosmetics and other things.

As far as the packaging goes, I'm definitively not a fan. It's so ugly..

Another downside:  No fancy names for their lipstick. Instead of that, they use numbers. As you can see above, I own 3 lipsticks. 124/ 111/ 113

Excuse my mustache over there. Here's the 124! A very pretty color, if I say so myself.

The 111, not really my favorite but definitely a good soft pink color!

And here's the 113, it's so pretty!

124/ 111/ 113 as you can clearly see by now, haha! I'm really planning to buy more of these fantastic lip colors. As far as the lipstick quality: It's not waterproof, not smudge proof, not kiss proof, not eat proof but I still like it!

Shoplog 2011/09/16

Today I went shopping with Amy (click HERE to see her blog)

And I bought a few things that I want to share with you.

We went to Rotterdam together, and this was my 1st time shopping there. I've never been to the Sephora before, as well as the Primark. It was a complete new experience for me.So let me start with the Sephora.

First of all, I bought a cleansing milk and a toner. They were both €7,60 and I was extremely suprised because my cleansing milk&toner at the Body Shop were both €10,00.

And I couldn't resist checking this out. Amy told me about this one because she saw it in a blogpost. This the most amazing nailpolish remover ever. You just stick your finger in it, wait 1 minute, and all your nailpolish is completely gone! Such a suprise. I bought this for €9,30. That brings me on a total of €24,50 but because there was a sale I got everything for just €17,50. Discount makes me happy!

Now the Primark. As I said before, I've never been to the Primark before. Simply because there is only 1 in the Netherlands and I NEVER go to Rotterdam. So we decided to go there but I was a little dissapointed. They didn't have nice clothing AT ALL and the jewelry were so-so. But I still bought these bracelets for €5,00. I do really like them, but I think Primark sells better clothing when it's summer.

We also went to the Etos, because they also had discount and I wanted to score new perfume. So I decided to buy Beyonce's Heat (I like it better than Heat Rush, to be honest.) The original price was €24,99 but with 20% off I got it for €20,-

Got these two gorgeous things at the Six. My birthday was in March, and I got a €10,- card. So the purse was €12,95 and the Wallet €7,95. Total: €20,90 so with the card my sis bought me the total was €10,90! Again, discounts make me happy!

We also went to the H&M but no nice clothes spotted. So we checked the make-up session (obsessed, haha!) So I bought an eye-pencil in White for €1,95. The three masks were also €1,95 each. and I bought a discount nailpolish for €0,95. Can you believe it? Haha. So that's €10,70 at the H&M.
So that's everything I bought. Which brings me to a total of €64,10. I didn't even notice this until I was counting, haha. It's so extremely much. I may have to do the same as Amy (she made herself a promise to NOT go shopping for 2 whole months.)

Colored Life

Today I'm going to show you my eyeshadow stash. It may not be much, but a lot of combinations can be made with my collection. I excluded all my Catrice eye shadows, because I recently did a blog post about  them. Want to read? Click here.

So let's talk about this fella first. This is a palette I got for my birthday when I was... 12 maybe? I've been using it ever since. As you can see, I've used a lot of gold, pink and purple and I barely toutched the light blue, green, orange and red. Although I have this for several years, I'm not unsatisfied with the lasting power and the colors. It works really well for me.

This is a waste of money. Seriously. I'm sorry Essence, but I won't buy this Smokey Eyes Set in 03 Purple Maniac ever again. Reason: The liner at the right doesn't stay on my lid and I already have such a purple color in my collection.

This is a very pretty yellow. I got this case for my birthday when I was around 14? They don't sell it in the stores anymore.

Here's a swatch, the left color is this little shadow:

Also got this around the same time as the yellow. I used it a lot when I was in Highschool and I still like to apply this on my eyes.

These two are sooooooo shimmery. They create a lot of fall outs but they're still awesome colors to have in your collection. And if I got it right, they still sell these!

I got the left one for my 15th birthday and I bought the right one myself. Left: 07 Party Animal / Right: 04 Sixties Reloaded.

Absolutely love Sixties Reloaded!

05 To Die for / 02 Chic-ify. Absolutely love these two, especially the 05, I used to use this everyday when my stash wasn't that big.
